ABOUT #KYBY

 Hello! My name is Uneque Hargrove. I am 26 years old, born and raised in Raleigh NC and the owner of the hashtag #knowyourselfbeyourself; which was created my junior year in high school. At first, it was just videos of me just being myself. But, as time went on, I realized that this hashtag had a deeper meaning and more purpose.

     In life, we are faced with so many things like pain, rejection, grief, trauma and more. I have experienced many of these myself. All of these things can cause us to put a wall up over who we TRULY are.  We can be told to just “be yourself” but truth be told, a lot of us are being what our pain made us out to be and not who God has called us to be. As I got closer to God in personal relationship, he began to show me things about myself that I had taken on as an identity that he never put there in the first place. Those things came about after some kind of pain happened in my life. The walls I put up was my way of creating a version of me that would no longer feel that pain again. They got in the way of who God created me to be, so those walls had to come down!

     As a brand we believe that in order to BE yourself, you have to truly know who God is through relationship, because when you truly KNOW that is when you can truly BE.
